Edmonton DP#6 - Listening Evangelism

Listening Evangelism helps find a natural and fearless way into more faith-sharing conversations in the course of everyday life. Learning from the example of the early church, we will look at how Christians today can cooperate with the Holy Spirit in talking about their faith in Jesus Christ to others.

Main teaching topics include:

• Motivations for Evangelism
• The Role of the Holy Spirit in Evangelism
• Practical Evangelism Skills
• Learning God’s Vision for Evangelism
• Developing a Passion for Personal Evangelism.
• Sharpening the Focus of your Testimony
• Using Gospel Scripts.
• How To Practice A Gospel Presentation
• Praying for Those who Don’t Know Christ.
• Listening for God’s Call to a Particular Region or People Group.
• Sharing About Your Faith Journey.
• How to Recognize Kairos Moments.

Cost:

This is a new system for us. Choose a ticket. Checkout. Then it will bring you to 'Registration'. Choose offline payment if you would like to pay via cheque or etransfer to dfc@dfcanada.org. Please use the comment section in the etransfer to indicate it is a registration fee. 

• All prices are per person.
• Deadline to register is November 11 as we need to release rooms.
• Make note in the comment box in the registration link if you have or need a roommate and if you will be needing Gluten/Dairy Free meals.

Teachers:

Rev. Andrew Willet - Andrew was introduced to Dunamis several years ago and it changed his ministry.  He has taught this course in the Czech republic, Estonia and the UK. Together with his wife Sally, Andrew lives in London, UK where they serve as United Reformed Church ministers, most recently as church planters. They have 2 married children and 3 1/2 grandchildren. Prior to studying for the ministry Andrew obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a design engineer.  Along with serving in the local church, Andrew serves as an Evangelism & Renewal Advocate, traveling throughout the UK, teaching & encouraging evangelism and spiritual renewal.

Rev. Trevor Payton - Trevor has served as the Executive Director of Dunamis Fellowship Canada since September of 2018. He is very eager to see Christians thrive all across Canada: cooperating with the Holy Spirit as they witness to Jesus Christ with the love of the Father. Trevor has been ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in the Christian Reformed Church since 2006, serving churches in Ontario and New Jersey.

Gateways Makeup:

Gateways is Dunamis 101.  If you have not attended Dunamis Project 1: Gateways to Empowered Ministry, you are invited to take this additional shortened version of the course.  It will introduce you to our basic concepts on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, who is the Holy Spirit, what does the Holy Spirit do, and how you can be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Offering:

All events organized by Dunamis Fellowship Canada are offering based. Registration fees cover venue costs and meals. During your event, you'll be invited to share in the vision of Dunamis Fellowship Canada and give an offering towards the ministry to advance our mission of equipping people to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. Pray about how to participate long before you arrive.
