Cooperating with the Holy Spirit
Our unique calling in helping fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission is equipping Christians to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, who is the director of church growth, missions and evangelism. Our programs aim to grow spiritual leadership for the movement of the Holy Spirit. We’ll teach you how to discover your spiritual gifts, grow in them, and experience them as you do whatever ministry you are called into.
Fulfilling the Great Commission is an impossible task, apart from the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told his disciples, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait there for what my Father promised, which you heard about from me. For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." (Acts 1:4-5 NET).
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth." (Acts 1:8 NET.)
Dunamis Fellowship Canada helps equip believers by providing biblical teaching on the Holy Spirit, and practical applications of the teaching. It also provides a community of Spirit-empowered believers who support each other in their spiritual development.
'Dunamis' (doo-nuh-miss) is simply the Greek word that is translated 'power', from which we get such words as 'dynamic' and ‘dynamo.'
DFC is a ministry with charitable status in Canada with members across Canada. We are part of a world-wide move of the Holy Spirit, rooted in the Reformed stream of the church of Jesus Christ. We share a vision statement with Presbyterian-Reformed Ministries, International (PRMI):
Exalting Jesus Christ!
Igniting the Church in the Power of the Holy Spirit
under the authority of the Holy Bible as the Word of God
Through Prayer, Leadership Development,
Growing the Church and Mission Outreach
So that the Church may be empowered to do all that Christ commands
For the glory of God the Father!
We fulfill our vision primarily through multi-day events which include a unique combination of systematic teaching, active participation, inspired worship, dynamic prayer and intentional debriefing. All of these components are focused on helping you keep in step with the Holy Spirit.
